My client wanted to replace their front door panels with exact copies of the originals. The glass is cut at right angles around the central boss which makes it weaker and prone to breaks. This was, indeed where the original glass had broken. I obliged and remade the panels. In this circumstance the client wanted to adhere to the original design for the door and I remade the panels for them with that in mind. In this circumstance I advised them to fit a soft closer to the door to prevent it slamming. I hope they did and that these pieces are still intact!
